Santa Clara, California, February 10, 2009 - Power | Regulator management IC developer of Advanced Analogic sony vgp bps8 battery, sony vgp-bpl8 battery Technologies Incorporated (AnalogicTech?, Code Nasdaq: AATI), today announced the launch of a dual channel light-emitting diode (LED) driver AHK3292, mobile products for entry-level LED indicators, LCD display (LCD) or keyboard backlight. The new LED driver with multiple low resistance current sinks can support a low pressure drop, thereby reducing power dissipation and extend battery life, and its 36mV typical voltage drop at least 20% lower than competitive products.
"With the LED manufacturers upgrade their technology and reduce the variety of LED's voltage drop, in many applications no longer need a boost converter," AnalogicTech product line director PhilDewsbury said. "AHK3292 through the use of low dropout current sinks to the battery directly drive multiple LED, for the entry-level mobile phones and other mobile product designers to provide a new lighting solution in improving the power efficiency to extend battery life while reducing costs.
Single control
Directly by a 2.7V to 5.5V input supply operation, AHK3292 up to drive two LED. The 32-line bus instead of the pulse-width modulation (PWM) control circuit, saving the expenses on the system microcontroller, and digital control through the constant current LED flash to minimize and reduce the noise.
LED output current accuracy is + / -10%, the LED output current matching is + / -3%. AHK3292 also comes with a low current shutdown mode.
